Lending in Cannabis

Wednesday, July 31, 2024 1 PM ET | 90 Minutes

One of the most commonly talked about, and misunderstood, aspects of serving the cannabis space is lending.  The fact is, lending to both direct and indirect cannabis businesses is an option for financial institutions, but with it comes a particular set of risks, obligations and considerations.  Accordingly, Green Check, in partnership with CTrust and Coda Capital LLC, is hosting a special 90-minute webinar, “Lending in Cannabis,” to provide banks and credit unions with the foundational information they need on this topic.

This panel discussion will highlight topics such as risk monitoring, cannabis loan collateralization for both businesses and employees, and types of lending available including participation loans.   The session will also include the impact that the current federal marijuana legalization bills may have in these areas.

Attendees will be provided with relevant knowledge on risk mitigation strategies as well as concrete examples of lending in the space.
